Up to #9?!?!

Before I get into the new AP Poll, I wanted to mention two surprises for the Cougars so far this year. First of all is Jordan Pendleton (left) and second is Brian Kariya (right). Pendleton put some monster hits on OU and Brian Kariya outdid himself replacing Unga on Saturday night. Keep it up guys...
With the unprecedented upset from Saturday, BYU leapfrogged quite a few teams in the new AP Poll to #9. Top ten already? Didn't everyone say that even if we won this game, we wouldn't get the respect that we deserve? That isn't quite what happened. Leaping into the top 10 this early in the year means that if we run the table, we should be in the National Championship game. We'll see if that actually happens

  1. All I got to say is the D did a great job of holding them. I've never seen them play so tough against a ranked team. I hope they keep it up. After loosing the ball on the 1 yard line to a fumble I thought that we had lost our golden chance but the cougars surprised me and kept in the game. The D did look a bit sluggish in the 4th quarter, which in this instance they held them and we pulled out a big W! But for future games- they need to keep it up til the games over- I know it's only thier first game and they'll improve..... They had several hard hits all over the field and that's what they'll need to keep up this winning streak. Offense on the otherhand.....was appauling- on both sides. I couldn't believe how many fumbles, false starts and flags that were thrown. And most were oklahoma's. We protected Hall for the most part though. This was such a sweet victory.
